LA Vacation for under $420

by: Rollan Buds

Los Angeles is known for its glitz, glamour, and high prices, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a budget-friendly 420-friendly vacation in the city of Angels. With a little bit of planning and some insider tips, you can have a great time in LA for under $420. Here’s how to do it.

Day 1: Arrival and Exploring Hollywood

The first thing you need to do is find a place to stay. Luckily, there are plenty of budget-friendly hotel and hostel options in the city. For the budget-conscious, we recommend staying at a hostel such as the Banana Bungalow Hollywood, which offers dormitory-style rooms starting at just $30 per night. For those who want a little more privacy, the Hollywood Palms Inn and Suites offers rooms starting at $60 per night.

Once you’ve settled into your accommodations, it’s time to start exploring. Hollywood is the perfect place to start, as it offers plenty of entertainment options that won’t break the bank. Start by taking a stroll down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where you can see the stars of your favorite celebrities. From there, head to the Griffith Observatory for stunning views of the city and the Hollywood sign.

For lunch, head to In-N-Out Burger, a California classic that won’t put a dent in your wallet. After lunch, check out the Hollywood Museum, where you can see costumes, props, and other memorabilia from your favorite movies and TV shows.

Day 2: Venice Beach and Santa Monica

On your second day in LA, head to Venice Beach and Santa Monica, two iconic beach destinations that offer plenty of free entertainment. Start by renting a bike or a skateboard and cruising along the Venice Beach boardwalk, where you can see street performers, artists, and vendors selling all sorts of wares.

For lunch, grab a slice of pizza at Joe’s Pizza, a New York-style pizza joint that’s been serving up delicious pies since 1975. After lunch, head to the Santa Monica Pier, where you can ride the Ferris wheel, play carnival games, and enjoy the ocean views.

Day 3: Cannabis and Culture

>No 420-friendly vacation to Los Angeles would be complete without a trip to a cannabis dispensary. The city is home to many great dispensaries, but we recommend checking out The Higher Path, a dispensary that offers a wide selection of cannabis products, including edibles, flowers, and concentrates.

After you’ve picked up your cannabis products, head to the Getty Center, a world-renowned art museum that offers free admission. Spend the afternoon exploring the museum’s vast collection of art and architecture, and don’t forget to take in the stunning views of the city.

Day 4: Downtown LA and Departure

On your final day in Los Angeles, spend some time exploring downtown. Start by visiting the Grand Central Market, where you can sample food from all over the world at budget-friendly prices. From there, check out the Bradbury Building, an architectural marvel that’s been featured in many movies and TV shows.

For lunch, head to Philippe the Original, a classic deli that’s been serving up French dip sandwiches since 1908. After lunch, check out the Museum of Contemporary Art, which offers free admission on Thursdays from 5 pm to 8 pm.

With these tips, you can enjoy a 420-friendly vacation in Los Angeles for under $420. From budget-friendly accommodations to free entertainment options, there’s plenty to see and do in the city of Angels without breaking the bank.
